A number of luxurious watch manufacturers have been utilizing ocean plastic for a while, like Panerai and Breitling. Last month, Tom Ford introduced the launch of the primary high-end wristwatch crafted from 100% recycled ocean plastic. And then there may be Ulysse Nardin.
Earlier this week, the Swiss watch producer launched an eco-friendly diver’s watch known as the Ulysse Nardin Diver NET. Using renewable sources not too long ago seen of their ‘R-Strap’ (created from recycled fishing nets), this idea timepiece is yet one more instance of luxurious taking the sustainable route. The watch’s strap is woven from PET plastic bottles collected from the ocean.

A brief movie that explored the method from fishing internet to closing product was introduced to over 150 watch reviewers from throughout the globe. Interestingly, the video confirmed how French recycling outfit, FIL&FAB, breaks down the fabric into polyamide pellets.
